When willingly working
while weirdly wired
we wondered
would wagon wheels work?

We whispered wildly
whilst whipping whisks
which wouldn’t wreck
winter’s wonderlands
whether wanted, wasted, wrangled, Wisconsinized.

What will
wacky workmen wreck?

Wonderfully wide-eyed
we waited
wanton, willful, wistful
watching warblers with wings
